From the freshly installed plugin to the first finished backup in three steps.
- Activate the plugin
- Add target
- Back up now
- Website backed up
The eight clicks
- Install the plugin in WordPress on the Plugins page.
- Activate it. Afterwards the WordPress menu holds the entry cloneworx.
- Click cloneworx: the Overview page opens (in detail: Step 1).
- Click Back up now. As long as there is no target, the button takes you to the Targets page.
- Click Add target.
- Choose the target type, for example a folder on the server (in detail: Step 2).
- Fill in the form and click Save. The plugin tests the connection and, with your first target, creates the plan “Daily backup”. With Google Drive and Dropbox you sign in with the provider instead (in detail: Step 3).
- Click Back up now. The backup runs; at the end the green message Backup complete. appears (in detail: Step 5 and Step 6).
Done: the Overview reports Your website is backed up. The backup is in the list Backups.
